Research Focus/Background:
Daniel Ansari’s background is in Developmental Psychology and Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience. He is particularly interested in how children develop numerical and mathematical skills. One of the pillars of his research is to connect the Science of Learning with Education.
Problem/goals to address as part of CERES:
Ed Tech holds great promise for improving student achievement, but many digital ed suites lack a strong evidence base. Daniel is keen to collaborate within CERES to ensure that novel Ed Tech products are evidence-informed. He is also interested in the use of digital platforms to improve ongoing assessment of students core skills in numeracy and literacy in a way that informs educational practice
